A poem – Real Eyes Realise Real Lies

I close my eyes
And visualise
My sadness, disguised
As cuts on my thighs.

I must advise
It’s unwise
To televise
The sunrise
When it’s comprised
Of immortalised goodbyes.

I find myself pressurised
To familiarise
Myself with the compromised
Realms of my mind, am I surprised?

As the dead arise
Our happiness also dies
I recognise the hands moving clockwise
Synchronised with mine as the time flies.

I realise I need to vocalise
My concerns so you can empathise
And sympathise
As I emphasise
My pain through these lies.
