Top 10 Films of 2018

The title of this post is a little misleading… I had every intention of writing a blog post with a list of my top 10 films this year, but when I went to decide which films were in my top 10, it turns out I’ve only seen 10 of the films that came out this year. Whoops.

There’s many reasons for this, but that’s not important – I’ve decided 2019 will be the year of films for me. I have dozens of films from this year I’ve yet to watch, including some big names I’m ashamed to mention.

So this post, instead of being my top 10 films of 2018, is going to be a ‘films of 2018 I really should’ve seen and still haven’t. Please forgive me for some of these…

In no particular order, the films I wish I’d seen this year…

Mission Impossible: Fallout (heard it’s the best of the bunch for these films?)
A Star is Born (not my usual taste, but I want to see it nonetheless)
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (obviously a must-watch)
Bohemian Rhapsody (realllly want to see this)
Deadpool 2 (the must-see sequel, that, you know, I didn’t see)
BlacKkKlansman (this looks really up my street)
Incredibles 2 (my younger self has been waiting for this one for a while…)
Isle of Dogs (not sure what it’s about, but I’ve heard it’s a good’un)
Bumblebee (didn’t expect to want to see this, but the reviews are raving, so here it is)
The First Purge (love the concept of the purge films, if not always the execution)
Ant-Man and the Wasp (how did I miss this one?! I still don’t know)
Solo: A Star Wars Story (STAR WARS!!! need to see this ASAP)
Ralph Breaks the Internet (I love the first one, another must-see sequel for me)
Aquaman (DC universe deserves the time of day too)
Coco (big fan of Disney animations lately, I think I’ll like this one too)
The Hate U Give (heard great things about this one)
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (if this list was in order, this would probably be top)
The Shape of Water (one of those films in everyone’s top 10)
Venom (it divided opinion, but I think I’ll love this)
Pacific Rim: Uprising (loved the first one)

Any other films I’ve missed that you’d recommend? Leave a comment or tweet me @_lukeadcock!
